Scale
  • 11/2 ounces rye whiskey
  • 3/4 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 ounce amaro
  • 1/4 ounce maraschino
  • 12 dashes orange bitters
  • orange peel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a shaker or cocktail glass filled with ice, add all ingredients. Stir well until thoroughly chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish orange peel.

Notes

If you’re a dedicated cocktailer, I recommend Dolin Dry Vermouth. It’s a few bucks more than other brands, but worth it. It will keep best if refrigerated after opening.
